Тема: Знання – це сила (урок удосконалення знань і навичок).
Цілі:
навчальна: повторити, активізувати та закріпити ЛО теми. Навчати застосовувати їх в
лексичних структурах, усному та писемному мовленні. Тренувати учнів в
аудіюванні та читанні. Навчати учнів письма та монологічного мовлення.
Формувати навички діалогічного мовлення. Тренувати учнів у вживанні речень
пасивного стану;
розвиваюча: розвивати техніку читання, навички письма, комунікативні вміння учнів та вміння діалогічного мовлення. Розвивати вміння вести
дискусію, розвивати ерудицію учнів;
виховна: виховувати в учнів уважність та
спостережливість, прагнення пізнавати
навколишній світ, виховувати культуру спілкування учнів.
Обладнання: підручник, робочий зошит картки для роботи в парах, для самостійної роботи та роботи в групах, текст
для аудіювання, прислав’я.
Методи і прийоми: слово вчителя,
робота з підручником, виконання вправ, ”Мозковий штурм”, робота в парах,
індивідуальна робота та групова робота, аналіз, синтез, узагальнення, диспут.

Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу
Робота в парах.
Учні отримують картки і в
парах складають фрази з двох частин. Пара, яка першою впорається із завданням,
читає складені фрази перед класом та визначає, чи фрази вживаються для того,
щоб погоджуватися з думками інших, чи навпаки, щоб не погоджуватися.

Біом - сукупність рослинних і тваринних організмів, що
заселяють вел., екологічно диференційований сухопутний простір, напр., хвойні
ліси Канади, євразійська тундра; до складу б. входять різні біоценози. Біоценоз – це сукупність тварин, рослин, грибів і мікроорганізмів, що заселяють
певну ділянку суші або акваторії, вони пов'язані між собою і з середовищем.

Eden Project
The Eden (paradise) Project began as a
dream. In the late 1990s, Tim Smith — an archaeologist turned pop-music
producer — decided to build a new Eden. In his imagination he saw a beautiful
park with huge greenhouses filled with exotic plants from all over the world.
He even found a place for his park — a
disused clay pit in Cornwall (покинутий глиняний кар'єр в Корнуоллі). All
he needed was the money. Amazingly, many people agreed to help him and Tim’s
dream came true. In the spring 2001, the Eden Project, a large environment park
in Cornwall, opened to the public. The press called it ‘The Eighth Wonder of
the World’.
Since its
opening more than 9 million people have visited the Eden Project. It has become
the country’s top tourist attraction, more popular than the Tower of London.
The Eden
Project consists of two giant greenhouses,
shaped (за формою) like grapefruit halves, and an
outdoor area. These are called ‘biomes’ (біоми). They
recreate the natural environments of three different climates found around the
world.
The Humid
Tropics Biome recreates the natural environment of the world’s hottest regions.
It houses hundreds of trees and other plants from the jungles of South America,
Africa, Asia and Australia. Trees like banana trees, rubber trees (каучукові), cocoa, bamboo and mahogany (червоні дерева). It is the largest of the
three biomes and the most impressive. It is big enough to hold the Tower of
London!
In the
Warm Temperate Biome you can travel to South Africa and California and walk
among orange and lemon trees, old olive groves and grape vines (виноградні лози).
The third biome is the Roofless Biome. This is an open outdoor
area with plants from the Cornwall area and similar climates in Chile, the
Himalayas, Russia and Australia. It tells the story of plants that have changed
the world and which could change your future.
Soon a
new biome will be built at the Eden Project. It will recreate desert life and
will have the most unusual water gardens in the world.
Tim Smith
and other creators of the Eden project see the site as much more than a
collection of plants. The main purpose of Eden is to educate the public about
the natural world, to show how we depend on plants and what we can do to save
them.
Apart
from over one hundred thousand plants, there are exhibits to suit almost
everyone. You can study the links between plants and music, plants and health
and plants and sport, for example. And there are all sorts of events too, from
tea-tasting and ‘chocolate’ days to live concerts.

3) Граматична гра.
Клас розподіляється на дві команди. Розкладає на столі два набори карток
текстом донизу. Учні кожної команди по черзі виходять до дошки, беруть одну з
карток і записують речення на дошці, доповнюючи його дієсловом, поданим у
дужках, у правильному часі та стані. За кожне правильно записане речення
команда отримує один бал. Перемагає команда, яка отримає найбільше балів.
